SMT Today Selects Unigen to be on the Best of EMS 2022 List

This year, SMT Today searched North America high and low for the top contract manufacturers. Each company was hand selected for their qualifications, customer service, reputation, and skillset.

Unigen offers a full suite of turnkey and a la carte electronic manufacturing services (EMS) from design to new product introduction (NPI), mass production, test-as-a-service (TaaS) and after-market services. Founded in 1991, Unigen recently celebrated its 30th year in business. With global headquarters in Newark, CA, the company operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities both in Silicon Valley and Hanoi, Vietnam, along with five additional engineering and support facilities located globally. We serve numerous end markets including automotive, computing, memory and storage, embedded, medical, robotics, and IoT, and we count among our customers some of the leading companies in the Top Fortune 100.

Our factories have been certified to the industry’s strictest quality standards including ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO-13485 (for medical devices), and IATF 16949 (for automotive end markets). Quality is more than just a word at Unigen, it’s a culture. For example, Unigen uses 30 micron gold-plating where others only use 10 micron. We use eight-layer boards where others will settle for six layers. The end result is higher quality, better reliability and improved performance. When coupled with our extensive reliability test capabilities and other value-added post-assembly services such as conformal coating and automated X-ray inspection, we strive for best-in-class quality and reliability for our customers.

Our proprietary business intelligence tools enable real-time information support to aid decision making throughout every stage of production. Our partner portal can be accessed 24/7 by our customers and is fully mirrored across all manufacturing sites.
